Since I finished everything available to me last week, I did no coding work this week. However, I did learn that more work is coming soon. At this week’s meeting, we learned that this screen still needs a few more things done. One of those things is setting the screen up to have an ADA mode. The ADA mode moves everything down on the screen so if you are sitting in a wheelchair, you can reach every part of the screen. That is the only ticket I remember being mentioned at this week’s meeting, but there might have been one for adjusting things for the bigger reflect mirror.
I would love to work on the ADA mode for this device. It sounds so interesting to me, and I’m so glad that Echelon has some form of ADA setting in it. I am going to talk to my project partner first since I have done more tickets than him, so I want to make sure he’s ok with me taking that one. Although I’m sure that they will create at least two tickets so we can each work on one, as that would be the most efficient use of our remaining three weeks.
I’m sad to see that this capstone is coming to an end here in a few weeks, as I’ve had a lot of fun doing it and have learned so much. It’s so amazing to me to think that in probably a few months my code will be pushed to devices that people use!
