Things are finally moving with this project. Everything is merged, and we are starting to work on the tickets we claimed on Jira. I have been slowly implementing the series-type filters. It is taking me a while because I keep finding different things in the code that I can use to do the filtering.
I have rewritten my code about three different times now as I keep finding new things in the code. While this is annoying, I’m not too worried about it because I’m still learning things about this code and how to use it. I am doing a lot of research on how I can use Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to do what I am trying to do. The Android Developers website has been very helpful, and I am tending to use that website more than anything.
The only other thing that has been going on is that my partner and I need to set up the emulator so we can actually test our work. Right now, the Series tab is blank for both of us, so we are going to meet tomorrow to figure out what’s going on and how we can test things. Hopefully, it won’t be too hard, and we will be on track to start testing our work. Our contact at Echelon told us what needs to be done, so at least we have that start.
I’m so happy to finally be working on this project. This is a great opportunity that will give me valuable experience for the future.
