This week, I set up the emulator on Android Studio. On Wednesday, before out weekly meeting, my project partner and I met with our Echelon contact, who helped us set up the emulator for the Reflect Mirror. I was surprised to find that we are emulating the huge smart mirror on a tablet emulator, but after seeing it set up, it made sense. I included a picture of the emulated mirror at the bottom of this blog.

I was also given access to my Echelon account so I could start testing the mirror on my Android Studio. Another member of the Echelon team set up accounts for us, and then all we had to do was log in and tell the website we forgot our passwords.

Sometime soon my project partner and I will be meeting with our Echelon contact, and he is going to walk us through how to do the API part of the Challenges and Series pages. It sounds like we won’t have to do much for it, but he wants to show us how to do it. After that is set up, we can start working on the functionality cards in Jira. My partner and I will have to figure out how we want to split up the work, but it seems by this time next week that we will be working on coding the mirror. Our Echelon contact made it sound like this shouldn’t be too hard to do and hopefully won’t take too long once we start.
